ACQ 265 is designed to improve your tradecraft in the acquisition of services. It uses a multifunctional approach that provides acquisition team members with the tools and techniques necessary to analyze and apply performance-based principles when developing requirements documents and effective business strategies for contractor-provided services. CON 2420V Architect-Engineer Indirect Rates
CON 2420V concentrates on how the Architect-Engineer (A-E) community develops indirect rates. You will learn how to analyze your company’s overhead pools, develop a new rate based on allowable and reasonable costs, and how the base rate factors into the overall rate. (32 hours)
CON 270 Intermediate Cost & Price Analysis
CON 270 builds further on the principles you learned in CON 170. The course is divided into three segments, teaching you contract pricing issues from a Pre-Award, Negotiation Preparation-Award, and Post-Award perspective. (80 hours)
COR Level I
In COR Level I, you will learn the basic knowledge and skills needed as a Level I contracting officer’s representative (COR), such as proper communication, documentation, contract monitoring, payments, and ethics. You will also leave with a better understanding of the overall acquisition process and how to manage acquisitions effectively and efficiently as the eyes and ears of the contacting officer. (8 hours)
COR Level II
In COR Level II, you will build a concrete understanding of contracting principles through an introduction to the federal acquisition process by participating in extensive and relevant simulations. With an emphasis on ethics training and the roles, responsibilities, and competencies of CORs and other personnel, you will gain the knowledge to achieve success. (40 hours)
COR Refresher
The COR Refresher class will allow you to reinforce your knowledge of contracting officer’s representative (COR) duties and best practices while satisfying the requirements for maintenance training. From dealing with subcontracts to ethics in government contracting, you will leave class with a reinforced understanding of the acquisition process. You should come prepared to discuss troublesome issues you may have encountered while performing COR duties. (8 hours)
FCN 164 Federal Contract Negotiation Techniques
In FCN 164, you will discover the power of negotiation as a critical tool when seeking the best value for the government. In this course, you will learn your negotiation style, the negotiation process, win-win negotiation techniques, and methods to counter win-lose techniques.
