Leadership Though Collaboration

Description

The best leaders aren’t formidable ones. They lead with strong purpose and direction, but their strength isn’t defined by how harsh they are, how much critical feedback they can give, or how strict they are with deadlines. Instead, their strength comes from how well they can encourage, support, and direct their team. The essence of collaboration involves bringing together the individual talents of your team members to create something, a new idea, a solution to a problem, a path towards goal achievement. Whether building or facilitating collaboration within one team or across several teams, this workshop provides the tools and practical applications to accomplish more through how you involve others.


Who Should Attend
Anyone building, leading, managing or participating in either function or cross-functional teams.

You Will Learn
After this workshop, participants will be able to:
  • Define collaboration, the types of collaboration, and how to determine when to use which type
  • Set team goals aimed directly at a shared goal
  • Assemble a team of people who meet the necessary criteria for effective collaboration

The pitfalls of too much collaboration


Up to 30 students


  • Virtual Classes will be a live, Instructor lead class in Zoom for Government, a virtual technical assistant VTA will be available to assist students with any technical issues, take roll, administer evaluations, and distribute certificates of completion. Course materials will be provided electronically.
  • Onsite classes will be held at your location. The instructor will travel to you. Materials will be printed and shipped to your site. A sign-up sheet will be provided for student to enter their name (as they want it on their certificate) and the email address to send the certificate to. GSA travel costs will be added to the course fee. Contact us for a travel estimate.
  • A minimum of 2 weeks lead time is needed for virtual classes, 3 weeks for onsite classes.
